Blood and the Rye, written by Rajiv Shah, tells the story of a black defense attorney who was assigned to retry the murder case of a former member of the KKK accused of bombing a Baptist church in rural Alabama and unearths terrifying secrets that connects her estranged mother to the night of the crime.
